Before You Start
Find Your Cost Sheet
- Navigate to your program page.
- Click the "Costs" tab along the top of your program page.
- Select the term you're going abroad on the top left of the cost sheet.
- Fill in any personal info needed in the sheet (i.e. in-state or out-of-state, session selection, etc.)
You can save the cost sheet by clicking the print button and either printing or choosing "Save as PDF."

- EA Application Fee
- Rate set by UK EA
- Supports the cost to run our application portal.
- Billed at the start of the month after the application is started.
- EA Administrative Fee
- Rate set by UK EA
- Supports UK EA management of application and providing student support.
- Billed after registered in EAP 599, before traveling abroad.
- EAP 599 Tuition
- Rate set by UK.
- 1 credit-hour of tuition billed based on your residency rate and student classification (in-state, out-of-state, undergrad, graduate).
- Enrolled at the end of the term before you go abroad.
- Billed according to UK's tuition billing schedule.
- University Mandatory Fee
- Rate set by UK.
- Billed based on your residency rate and student classification (in-state, out-of-state, undergrad, graduate).
- Billed according to UK's tuition billing schedule after EAP 599 enrollment.
- Estimated International Medical Insurance
- Rate set by international insurance provider.
- $10.50 per week, rounded up to a full week (i.e. 15 days = 3 weeks)
- Billed after registered in EAP 599, before traveling abroad.
- Exchange Program Fee
- Rate set by UK EA.
- Mimics UK EA tuition and cost of attendance.
- Billed at the end of term before going abroad.
- Faculty-Directed (Embedded) Program Costs Billed by UK
- Rate set by UK EA
- NOT program tuition (that is EAP 599).
- Includes housing, international medical insurance, on-site activities, classroom space, group meals and activities, group travel on-site, faculty payment, etc.
Not Billed by UK (all estimated)
Billing to partner application portal, direct to you, or out-of-pocket.

- Set by partner facilitating the program.
- Billed according to partner billing schedule.

- Partner Program Deposit
- Set by partner facilitating the program.
- Billed according to partner billing schedule.

- Direct Partner Program Fee
- Set by host university facilitating the program.

- Program Transcript Fee
- Set by university or partner facilitating the program.
- Typically included in the Partner Program Fee.

- Airfare
- Set by airline.
- You purchase your own airfare for most programs.
- Do not purchase until accepted and confirmed program will run.
- Meals
- Estimate based on cost of living in that city.
- Pay out of pocket on-site.
- Passport
- Set by U.S. Department of State.
- Purchase at least 8-12 weeks before program departure.
- Visa
- Costs and deadlines vary by country.
- Check the country's consulate website for details.

- Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) Fee
- Set by United Kingdom government.
- ETA is mandatory for US passport holders arriving into the UK.
- You are required to download an app, answer questions on the purpose of your visit, scan your passport and upload a photograph. Only those granted the ETA can board flights to the UK.
- European Travel Information & Authorisation System (ETIAS) Fee
- Set by European Union
- You must apply online or through an app, and most applications will be approved in a matter of minutes, although it could take up to 72 hours. ETIAS is valid for 3 years. More information will be provided closer to your travel date.
- Additional Expenses
- May include, but not limited to, books, supplies, local transit, etc.
