Overview

EAP 599 is a 1 credit hour UK course completed entirely in Canvas. EAP 599 prepares you for your experience abroad and helps you reflect on the experience you're having on your program. Topics include managing discomfort, career integration, and reflection on your experience.

EAP 599:

  • Maintains your full-time student status at UK
  • Is required for UK financial aid and scholarships
  • Adjusts any UK tuition for your program to the cost of 1 credit hour.
    • Example: A Faculty-Directed program that offers 6 credits of coursework will only charge you 1 credit hour of tuition, but you'll receive all 7 credit hours on your transcript.

EAP 599 is required for all undergraduate students earning academic credit abroad. Graduate students may opt-in for any program but are encouraged to opt-in for Faculty-Directed programs due to the financial savings.
